Berry Detox Smoothie

Yields1 Serving
 ¾ cup fresh parsley
 ¼ cup fresh cilantro
 ¾ cup fresh blueberries
 ¾ cup fresh raspberries
 1 cup water
 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
 zest of the whole lemon peel
 ice to chill and texture

A detox smoothy can't get any more refreshing than this quick and easy recipe. Both parsley and cilantro are powerful detoxifiers. Parsley has an incredible nutrient profile and I’m using it as a base for my smoothie along with cilantro. Both are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, and are mineral rich.

Berries are known to chase away many chronic diseases. Both blueberries and raspberries are powerfully packed with antioxidant polyphenols.

Directions:
Add in the first four ingredients into your favorite blender. Pulse. Add in the remaining 4 ingredients. Pulse. Pour this into a pretty glass and enjoy with a straw or just sip right out of your favorite glass.

Note: I use all organic ingredients whenever possible.
